The risk of forest fires on Sunday has been set at “red alert” , the forestry department said on Saturday.
Alongside the setting of the fire risk level, the department also issued a reminder that the lighting of a fire without a permit is a criminal offence punishable by up to 10 years in prison, a fine of €50,000, or both.
