A “weird slime” was reported floating in the sea in Limassol over the past few days, prompting the Ecologists Movement’s Limassol district chairman, Andreas Mavrikios, to call on those responsible to “quit”.
Affected areas included Armonia beach in Ayios Tychonas , where a white substance covered the sea , while on August 15 people found themselves swimming among nappies, sanitary pads, waste materials and possible sewage or effluent.
