Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhurman on Thursday moved to defend the Immovable Property Commission (IPC) , with plans having been mulled in the Republic of Cyprus’ parliament in recent months for an alternative fund to be created for Greek Cypriot displaced persons.
He also pointed out that the Republic of Cyprus has thus far not created an equivalent mechanism through which Turkish Cypriot displaced persons can be compensated for property
