PwC Cyprus chief executive Andreas Yiasemides has been appointed chairman of the council of the University of Cyprus for a three-year term.
The appointment was made by the Cabinet and subsequently ratified by the University Senate.
Yiasemides described the appointment as a significant responsibility, emphasising the importance of higher education to Cyprus’ future.
