Rainfall in April reached 183 per cent above the average for this time of year by Wednesday morning, the met service said.
The amount of rainfall measured at all stations by the met department exceeded normal averages for the month, except at the Athalassa station in Nicosia, where it stood at 94 per cent.
The highest rainfall was recorded in Athienou, where rainfall has reached 316 per cent above normal
