Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Friday that Russia was responding with stepped-up strikes to Kyiv’s proposal for an Easter ceasefire.
“Essentially, the Russians have only intensified their strikes, turning what should have been silence in the skies into an Easter escalation,” he said on X after a call with Pope Leo.
Russia is conducting a rolling aerial attack on Ukraine since Thursday evening, Ukraine’s air force said on Friday,
