Three new cases of foot-and-mouth disease were confirmed in Dromolaxia on Monday afternoon, the agriculture ministry reported on Tuesday.
The cases were detected through laboratory testing and are located within the three-kilometre restriction zone in the Dromolaxia area.
Authorities said the new incidents are not unexpected and form part of the disease’s epidemiological progression in the region .
The cases involve one cattle unit and two sheep and goat units.
