A 34-year-old woman was arrested at Larnaca airport for smuggling drugs, the customs department said on Friday.
After a risk assessment, the US nationality passenger, who arrived in Cyprus from Paris via Brussels and Amsterdam, was stopped for inspection.
The officers suspected she was carrying drugs and examining the luggage they found 36.6kg of cannabis, which they confiscated.
