A mosquito disinfection crew was out on Friday to eliminate mosquitoes in the Ierokipia municipality following complaints from residents.
“The municipality crews will inspect public spaces for problems with stagnant water, which is a breeding ground for mosquitoes,” Ierokipia municipal health officer Marios Nikita said.
These breeding areas are sprayed with insecticides to prevent mosquitoes from completing their reproduction cycle.
