
The trial of journalist Ali Kismir, who faces up to 10 years in prison if found guilty of having “insulted” the Turkish Cypriot armed forces , was on Thursday adjourned until April 17.
Outside court in northern Nicosia on Thursday, his lawyer and Cyprus Turkish bar association chairman Hasan Esendagli said the prosecutor who will handle the case has now been assigned.
Kismir allegedly “insulted” the Turkish Cypriot armed force in
